A Kansas native, an Arizona State graduate and a Coloradan for more than a decade, Nicholas brings a lender’s discipline and a filmmaker’s eye to residential real estate.
Nicholas grew up in Pratt, Kansas, and went west for college at Arizona State University in Tempe. He settled in Colorado more than a decade ago and today lives in Littleton, near Chatfield State Park, with his wife Kayla — a Colorado native — their son and two dogs.
Before brokering homes, he spent roughly ten years as a licensed mortgage loan originator. That experience still shapes his work. He reads an offer the way an underwriter would, spots financing risk early, and helps buyers structure terms that sellers take seriously. For sellers choosing between offers, it is often the deciding perspective.
Nicholas is best known in the Denver market for the way he presents property. Lifestyle video, drone footage, social-first edits and editorial photography turn each listing into a story buyers remember — and a memorable presentation is a large part of how a home sells for top dollar.
He pairs that with practical design sense. Touring with buyers, he can see past dated finishes to what a house could become; with sellers, he helps decide which improvements are worth making before market — often funded through Compass Concierge. He has even used virtual reality to let clients walk through a proposed remodel before buying a single material.
Nicholas built his practice across the Denver metro and the wider Front Range, closing sales from downtown high-rises to Cherry Hills Village estates, southwest-metro communities like Sterling Ranch, and mountain property in the Vail Valley. Earlier in his career he worked with Engel & Völkers Denver before joining Compass.
Now, with a Compass office in Old Town Scottsdale and an Arizona license, he is bringing that same approach back to the Valley where he went to school. For clients who split time between Colorado and Arizona, or are moving from one to the other, it means a single advisor who understands both markets and can coordinate both sides of the move.
“Nicholas is an incredibly professional, dedicated, and multifaceted REALTOR. He has a great design eye and can help turn any home into your dream home, he can help you with all your lending needs and also takes amazing professional photos and drone footage of all of his listings. I would highly recommend him for any of your real estate needs.”
“Nicholas was the listing agent for a high-end home. As the selling agent, I found him to be professional, ethical, and knowledgeable. Would welcome working with him on another transaction!”
“Nicholas is a true professional. He also has experience in the mortgage business which is extremely helpful for buyers (or sellers trying to choose the best contract). He knows how to communicate, listen and negotiate when things get sticky. I highly recommend Nicholas.”
“Nick is a wonderfully creative REALTOR with expertise in computers. He is a marvelous communicator so the client always knows what is happening with his property. I have known Nick for a year and a half, and he is a joy to be around. His real estate knowledge of Denver and the surrounding areas is excellent, his skills are very polished, and he excels in his craft.”
Whether you are weighing a sale, planning a purchase or comparing Denver and the Valley, a short call is the best place to begin.
