The South Pearl Street Farmers’ Market happens every June through October on Sunday mornings. This area of South Pearl Street is turned into a vibrant farmers’ market offering fresh local produce, baked goods, artisan coffee roasters, and handcrafted items.
The community offers several fun events throughout the year that everyone can enjoy. The Furry Scurry is an event held in May that’s open to animal advocates across the state. Participations and their furry friends enjoy a two-mile walk or run around the park and conclude with a family-friendly festival.
Trick or Treat on Old South Gaylord Street adds an element of fun to your regular treat-or-treating schedule. Residents can stop by the 1,000 block of Gaylord to enjoy even more treats, including adult beverages. The Turkey Trot, sponsored by the Mile High United Way, is an annual Thanksgiving Day race that encourages the community to come together and get active. The Polar Bear 5k is another fun run. This one is a snow-filled event held annually in January. Those that don’t enjoy running can try VoLo, a fun volleyball meets kickball league in the area.
